Ce séminaire s’insère dans le projet « Faire société : modèles normatifs et hétéronomie dans les islams minoritaires », soutenu par l’Institut français d’islamologie et porté par une équipe internationale. Combinant les méthodes et les sources de l’islamologie avec une approche d’histoire socio-politique, le séminaire s’intéresse aux islams chiites et ibadite. Trop souvent tenus pour périphériques, ils éclairent pourtant aussi, par leurs lectures alternatives des traditions, les modalités même de la constitution du sunnisme. L’enquête de cette année explore la pensée politique et sociale de ces courants à travers les écrits sur la souveraineté et le gouvernement (idéal ou réel). Il déchiffre aussi la documentation disponible sur l’organisation sociale et le rôle des oulémas dans ces mouvements et confronte ces discours avec les institutions effectivement créées.

ناقش هذه الأطروحة موضوعا يتعلق بالجغرافية التاريخية في جوانبه الخمسة : المجال العمران , المسالك . الطوبونيميا , والجماعات . ويمس هذا العمل المجال الجغرافي للونشريس وجنوبه وصولا إلى غاية تخوم الصحراء هذا وتظهر أهمية الموضوع في بحثه عن أهم المتغيرات التي شهدها المجال المطروق منذ نهاية الفترة القديمة وإلى نهاية العصر الوسيط , مستعينتا فيها بمنهجية ومقاربات تختلف عن سابقاتها من الدراسات التي إهتمت بتاريخ المجال أو بمجرد جهات وجوانب منه فقط , وبالإجمال فقد تطرقت إلى ستة فصول بحثية تحكمت في تحكمت فيها المعطيات المصدرية بشكل كبير فبينت المراكز الحضرية وحجم التطورات التي مستها على مختلف الأزمنة وبينت الحصون المنتشرة في المجال فقد حاولت التدقيق في مدى استمرارها وانقطاعها , وأيضا مراقبة تغيراتها الطبونيمية وحجم التأثير الذي خلفته عمليات التعريب التدريجي على سلامة أصولها القديمة ( الفنيقية , اللوبية , اللاتينية ) وهذا من حيث النطق والكتابة أو من حيث التحول لصالح استخدام أسماء جديدة , كما تناقش أيضا مدى تطور المسالك والطرق الطولية والعرضية في المجال , كما تسمح الدراسة بمعرفة التحولات التي شهدتها البنية الإجتماعية نتيجة التمييز الإثني ومايضاف إليه من الحروب والتحالفات ةالإقطاعات التي كانت في كل مرة تغير من خارطة التوطين وصولا في النهاية إليى نتيجة مباشرة توضح هجرة أو اندماج غالبية العناصر المحلية ( البربرية ) بعد هيمنة الجماعات العربية الهلالية على معظم المجال السهلي بداية من منتصف القرن الثامن للهجرة ( 14 م )

In 1890, Sultan Ali of Zanzibar declared in writing that “we wish by every means to stop the slave trade.” Statements like these, in addition to the actual passing of anti-slavery legislation, call into question the generally accepted scholarly understanding that the sultans of Zanzibar only agreed to pass and enforce anti-slavery legislation because they were under duress from European, mainly British, powers, who negotiated favorable political and economic benefits in return for (gradual) abolition. A close analysis of the sources tells a more complicated story of both collaboration and conflict between the Zanzibari sultans, their subjects, and the British agents. Moreover, each sultan had distinctive political and religious beliefs, as well as individual personal experiences and outlooks. This paper explores the anti-slavery legislation passed under three sultans of Zanzibar: Barghash bin Said (1870–1888) who prohibited the transport of slaves by sea in 1873, Ali bin Said (1890–1893) who passed the Slave Trade Prohibition Decree of 1890, and Hamoud bin Mohammed (1896–1902) who passed the Abolition Decree of 1897. By analyzing draft treaties and correspondence before and after the passing of legislation, this paper argues that the sultans and their advisors were not devoid of ideological interest in ending slavery; and that British agents and explorers in the region were too hastily hailed as abolitionists.

LA mise en valeur de l’île de Djerba en tant que site faisant partie du patrimoine universel a fini par porter ses fruits avec son inscription

L'article aborde le sujet de l'attractivité territoriale des îles, en se concentrant particulièrement sur les îles de Corse et de Djerba. L'article utilise la méthodologie prospective et l'analyse structurelle, en mettant en œuvre la méthode Matrice des Impacts Croisés (MICMAC), pour identifier les principaux facteurs d'attractivité territoriale. Deux groupes d'investisseurs (un pour Djerba et un pour la Corse) sont interrogés pour recueillir des données qualitatives et quantitatives. Les résultats et interprétations sont basés sur l'analyse des cartographies générées par le logiciel MICMAC. La typologie des variables est analysée, et des schémas de relations entre les variables d'attractivité territoriale sont présentés pour les investisseurs de Djerba et de Corse. L'article souligne l'importance de l'attractivité territoriale pour le développement des îles, et met en évidence les différences dans la perception de cette attractivité entre les investisseurs de Djerba et de Corse. Il propose un modèle conceptuel basé sur les résultats de l'analyse structurelle, mettant en lumière les facteurs clés d'attractivité pour chaque territoire

Abstract The world-denying ethos of Qaṭarī b. al-Fujāʾa’s poetry and sermons seems in conflict with the more worldly implications of his leadership role as Caliph of the Azāriqa Khārijites. By clarifying what purposes his missives might have served in the contexts in which they appeared, and by asking how the Azāriqa might have conceptualized governance (as succession to the Prophet Muḥammad and as chief of a militarized conquest state), it will be shown that Ibn al-Fujāʾa and the Azraqīs idealized the austerity of the Muslim conquests (futūḥāt), while simultaneously looking to figures such as ʿUmar b. al-Khaṭṭāb as tacit models of exemplary guidance. His literary output and leadership role thus make sense when examined in their late antique context.

Αυτή την εβδομάδα η συζήτηση μας έχει έντονο ενδιαφέρον γιατί το θέμα μας έχει απασχολήσει όλους. Ιστορικοί είναι κυρίως οι λόγοι που το κάνουν επίκαιρο συνέχεια. Ο λόγος για το Ισλάμ, τις σχέσεις που έχουμε με τις μουσουλμανικές κοινότητες, τις θεολογικές σπουδές στην Ελλάδα αλλά και την λειτουργία της κατεύθυνσης μουσουλμανικών σπουδών. Μαζί μας η Αγγελική Ζιάκα, Καθηγήτρια Θρησκειολογίας του Τμήματος Θεολογίας του Αριστοτελείου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης, μέλος της επιστημονικής Επιτροπής της Εισαγωγικής Κατεύθυνσης Μουσουλμανικών Σπουδών του Τμήματος Θεολογίας και διδάσκουσα στα τμήματα Πολιτικών Επιστημών και Δημοτικής Εκπαίδευσης του Α.Π.Θ. Εργάστηκε ως εμπειρογνώμων στην εκπόνηση των νέων Π.Σ. των Θρησκευτικών του Λυκείου για το έτος 2014-2015 υπό την εποπτεία του ΙΕΠ.
