Disputes due to conflict of interest are unavoidable phenomena particularly in political life. Political conflicts arise due to differences of opinion, competition, and conflicts between a number of individuals, groups, or organizations involving state officials. This paper seeks to uncover the pattern of political conflict resolution carried by Daula Rustamiyyah which incidentally belonged to Khawarij Ibadiyyah moderate wing. By using the historical approach, the author finds out that the political policy of Rustamiyyah to resolve political conflicts within the government were based on Ibadiyyah doctrines that promote moderation. A number of political conflicts were successfully resolved by Rustamiyyah with a minimum violence. To solve political conflicts, the Rulers of Rustamiyyah began with persuasive step, from admonition to threat. Then, if necessary, it involves a third party as a mediator. If the measures were all unsuccessful, they took a firm stance, especially against those who endanger public stability. In addition, the government often took the initiative to utilize diplomacy during the ongoing armed conflict. By implementing such policies, peace and stability can be maintained by the Rustamiyyah government.

La maladie dont souffre l’atypique sultan Qabous pose la question de la succession, qui s’annonce d’autant plus délicate que le souverain s’est façonné un État sur mesure et n’a pas d’héritier. – Jeune Afrique

This is an exploratory research project on Omani women’s roles changing in the household. To start off, tradition will be defined by the definition I followed throughout my paper. Following that, I will explore what is women’s traditional role within the household. Next, information will be presented that will discuss major steps women have taken in education, employment, and gaining skills for the workplace. These points will be followed up with statistics and an explanation of each table. These tables examine the data of women’s education, freedom, encouragement to work, and overall skills they are gaining. You will read about workshops that the government and world are sponsoring in order to bring forth women in the workplace in Oman. While researching, I did keep in mind counter arguments, which will be addressed as well. In conclusion, I have found more employed women than what I originally thought and they also dominate certain job fields. Additionally, moving forward, I will discuss how to encourage women to work more with providing accessible daycares

Oman tends to feature far less in international discussions about the Middle East than other countries in the region. But that is mostly a reflection of its deliberate preference for avoiding the spotlight. In reality, Oman is a rare regional example of domestic tranquility, cosmopolitanism, religious tolerance, and skillful diplomacy.

With the Rustamids' rise to power, commerce and trade in Maghrib had prominent growth during 2nd and 3rd century AH/8th and 9th century AD. Tahret (Tiaret) the center of Rustamids could compete commercially with most of the civilized cities of that period. This superiority and prosperity was due to the extensive trade, consequent on Tahert proper geographical position, locating in the trading mainland, plentitude of markets and commercial centers, and special attention paid by Rustamids to the trade besides expansive immigration of merchants, craftsmen, scholars and students. Commercial relations with Sudan, Andalusia and local states of Maghrib region accelerated the commercial growth and Tahert blossomed more. The purpose of this research is to study Rustamids' commercial and economic policy and their mercantile relations while depicting the commercial situation of Tahert in aforementioned era.
