تسعى هذه الدراسة الى دراسة نشاط الإرسالية العربية المسيحية الأمريكية في مسقط أثناء حكم السلطان فيصل لعمان. تبين هذه الدراسة ان نشاط الإرسالية في مسقط شكل تحديا دينيا و سياسيا و اجتماعيا و دبلوماسيا للسلطان فيصل و للأهلي في عمان و خلق ردات فعل نجم عنها تطورا على المستوى التعليمي و الطبي في مسقط. tفي عام 1893 تمكنت الإرسالية العربية من إنشاء مقر لها في مسقط حيث كان هدفها التوسع في أرجاء عمان و الوصول إلى أكبر مساحة ممكنة من الجزيرة العربية. أما هدفها الأساسي فكان تنصير سكان المنطقة. قام نشاط الإرسالية على توزيع الأناجيل والكتب الدينية وإجراء النقاشات مع الأهالي. لكن شاءت الظروف آنذاك أن توكل القنصلية البريطانية مجموعة من العبيد المحررين إلى الإرسالية لتهتم بهم، فأصبحوا نواة العمل التبشيري في مسقط. طورت الإرسالية أساليب عملها فبدأت تقدم خدمات طبية وتعليمية إلى مجتمع كان يفتقر إلى مثل هذا الخدمات وفي أمس الحاجة إليها. وهكذا أنشأت مدرسة للبنين وأخرى للبنات وأحضرت أطباء للعمل في مسقط ومطرح. ولكنها واجهت بعض الصعوبات، ولا سيما قلة المنتسبين إلى مدارسها وبروز مشروع بسيط حاول أن ينافس مشروعها التعليمي: بالتزامن مع نشاطها بدأ السلطان فيصل بمحاولة تحسين الخدمات الطبية في مسقط وتبرع بإنشاء مستشفى فيها. ولكن الإرسالية حاولت منافسة هذا المشروع من خلال إنشاء مستشفى في مطرح، ما أدى إلى خلاف كبير بين السلطان من جهة والإرسالية والقنصلية الأمريكية من. استغل الثوار، وبالأخص أنصار الإمامة، نشاط الإرسالية التبشيري وقاموا بمهاجمتها هي والسلطان. لم يقف المجتمع العماني مكتوف اليدين إزاء نشاط الإرسالية خلال فترة حكم السلطان فيصل، فقد تشكلت مبادرات محلية من الأهالي لمواجهتها بالإمكانيات المتاحة.

This article follows the history of migration from the mountain villages of the Jebel Nafusa in Ottoman Trablus al-Gharb (in today’s northwestern Libya) to the southern Tunisian island of Djerba in the early 20th century. It situates this local history of migration within the broader framework of Maghribi migration both before and during the colonial era in Libya (1911–43), while tracing the histories of two categories of migrants, in particular, manual laborers and Qur’an teachers (m’addib-s). The article makes three claims: (1) Nafusi migration was as much the result of local historical circumstances as it was a response to colonialism; (2) the historical experience of migration of Nafusis differed according to social class; and (3) local circumstances shaped the dynamics of migrant integration in the Maghrib. In doing so, I demonstrate how Nafusi migration to Djerba both conforms to and diverges from the larger history of late Ottoman and colonial-era migration in Tunisia. By shifting the focus away from the colonial moment, I make the case for foregrounding longer-term regional connections and migrations that linked different spaces across the Maghrib and also attend to local histories and what they offer in the way of caveats and exceptions.

تهدف الدراسة إلى إبراز علم من أعلام الإباضية المشارقة ومنهجه في كتابه الجامع وأثره على الفقه الإباضي، وهو الشيخ أبو جابر محمد بن جعفر الدرمكي الأزكوي (حي: 280هـ)، فجاءت الدراسة للكشف عن مكانة الشيخ ودوره في الفقه الإباضي خصوصا والفقه الإسلامي عموما، فجاءت الدراسة في أربعة مباحث تناولت التعريف بالشيخ وكتابه ومنهجه في التأليف والاستدلال، واعتمدت هذه الدراسة على المنهج الوصفي، والمنهج الاستقرائي، وخلصت الدراسة إلى أن الشيخ ابن جعفر يعد من كبار علماء الإباضية في المشرق في القرن الثالث الهجري، وكتابه الجامع (9 أجزاء) من بواكير العمل الموسوعي الفقهي، حيث شهدت هذه المرحلة بدايات الكتابة في الدراسات الفقهية المقارنة، فكان ابن جعفر ينقل في كتابه أقوال أشياخه وشيوخهم وغيرهم من أمثال الإمام جابر بن زيد وأبي عبيدة ووائل وأبي صفرة ومحمد بن محبوب، ويختار ما يراه صوابا مستعملا جملة من العبارات والصيغ في ذلك كما ينقل ما ذكر عن الصحابة والتابعين، وقد يعرض المسألة مجردة عن الأدلة، وقد يدعمها بالدليل من القرآن أو السنة، كما نجده كثيرا ما يورد محاوراته ومراسلاته مع شيخه أبي عبد الله محمد بن محبوب التي يتبنى الكثير منها ويحتج بها، وقد يخالفه الرأي، كما نجده يذكر آراء معاصريه كأبي المؤثر وأبي الحواري، ومن منهجه أنه يبدأ الفصل عادة بآية أو حديث فيعلق على النص ويفرع عليه موردا أقوال العلماء في ذلك، ويكتفي أحيانا بإيراد المسألة بصيغة تقريرية ثم يبحث لها عن مختلف الصور المحتملة فيذكر حكمها أو ينقل أقوال بعض العلماء. كما يذكر في بعض المسائل الحكم الشرعي معضدا قوله بالدليل من كتاب الله أو سنة نبيه أو رأي العلماء.

19-28 Ocak 2025 tarihleri arasında Cezayir’in Mizâb diye anılan bölgesine bir seyahat gerçekleştirdim. Bu seyahata çıkma sebebim, daha önce uzun yıllar çalıştığım İbâzî topluluklarını kendi kültür çevrelerinde görmekti. Bu ziyareti hem İbâzî mezhebinden olan hem de Gardâye Üniversitesi’nde öğretim üyesi olan arkadaşım Prof. Dr. Bekîr Bûarva’nın bağlantıları sayesinde gerçekleştirdim. Ayrıca aynı üniversiteden ve Azzâbe heyeti üyesi de olan Prof Dr. Yahya Hâc Buhûn da özellikle başkent Cezayir’deki İbâzî kurumlarını gezmemde mihmandarlık etti. Gezi boyunca İbâzî mezhebinin gelenek olarak canlı yaşandığı ve tarihsel dokusunu da koruyan şehirlerini, camilerini ve mezarlıklarını gezdiğimiz gibi İbâzî eğitim ve araştırma kurumlarını da ziyaret ettim. Gezi bana kitaplarda anlatılan İbâzî gelenek ve inanışlarının canlı olarak yaşandığı bir kenti görme olanağı verdi.

‘Comme à Tunis’ was an evening curated by Victoria Jonathan around the work of Tunisian artist Rafram Chaddad, on 14 October 2024 at the Book Bar (Hôtel Grand Amour), in conjunction with Paris Art Week. Drawing on everyday life and investing public spaces, Rafram’s work evokes exile, migration, the fragility of borders, and the mutability of identities. This roundtable, co-chaired with Joseph Hirsch (mahJ), focuses on Rafram Chaddad’s book The Good Seven Years, a deeply original artistic work on the traces of Tunisia’s Jewish minority that almost disappeared in the twentieth century.

To prevent Omani folktale heritage from being lost or distorted, especially in the era of globalization and digitization, and since there is no oral documentation of Omani folktales, there is a need to investigate the authenticity of documented Omani folktales published in print and to classify them based on tale-type. This study attempts to document a comprehensive collection of Omani folktales from existing materials published in or translated into English by developing a classification system based on Hasan El-Shamy‘s established tale-type index. Further, the study aims to assess the authenticity of these folktales by investigating Omani cultural markers found in them and identifying potential distortions or adaptations.

يهدف هذا البحث إلى إبراز مسلك التعليل الفقهي بإحدى القواعد الفقهية الكبرى وهي قاعدة "الأمور بمقاصدها" في باب المعاملات عند الشيخ أطفيش (1332ه)، وجاء للإجابة على الإشكالية المتمثلة في الأسئلة التالية: ما مفهوم التعليل الفقهي؟ وما المقصود بقاعدة الأمور بمقاصدها، والقواعد المتفرعة عنها؟ وهل أخذ المؤلف بالتعليل الفقهي بهذه القاعدة؟ وما التطبيقات الفقهية التي أدرجها تحت التعليل بهذه القاعدة؟ واعتمد البحث على المنهجين الاستقرائي والتحليلي، وخلص إلى عدة نتائج من أهمها أن المؤلف أخذ بالتعليل الفقهي بالقواعد الفقهية للأحكام التي ذكرها في كتابه، ومنها التعليل بقاعدة "الأمور بمقاصدها"، وعلَّل بعض الفروع الفقهية بهذه القاعدة والقواعد المتفرعة عنها. This research aims to highlight the path of jurisprudential reasoning based on one of the major jurisprudential rules, which is the rule of “matters with their purposes” in the chapter on transactions according to Sheikh Tfayesh (1332 AH), and came to answer the problem represented in the following questions: What is the concept of jurisprudential reasoning? What is meant by the rule of matters with their objectives, and the rules deriving from it? Did the author follow the jurisprudential explanation for this rule?
